Forming machine: what it is and what it can do

A forming machine is a mechanical device that can process raw materials into different shapes and sizes. Forming machines can be used to process various materials such as metal, plastic, wood, paper, glass, etc. to produce various products such as auto parts, furniture, packaging, toys, etc. Shaping machines are widely used in industry, manufacturing and engineering, and can also be used for artistic and creative purposes.

The basic principle of the forming machine is to use external force or heat to apply pressure or tension to the raw material to make it deform or flow, so as to achieve the desired shape and size. There are many types of forming machines, which can be divided into the following categories according to the processing method and the nature of the raw materials:

1. Pressure forming machine: This type of forming machine uses pressure to press raw materials into a mold or template to form the desired shape. Press molding machines can be divided into cold press and hot press. Cold pressing is carried out at room temperature and is suitable for materials with high hardness or not easily deformed, such as metal or wood. Hot pressing is performed after heating, and is suitable for soft or easily deformable materials, such as plastic or rubber.

2. Stretch forming machine: This forming machine uses tension to stretch or twist the raw material to form the desired shape. Stretch forming machines can be divided into cold drawing and hot drawing. Cold drawing is carried out at room temperature and is suitable for materials with high strength or not easy to break, such as wire or fiber. Thermal drawing is carried out after heating and is suitable for materials with high elasticity or ductility, such as plastic film or glass.

3. Extrusion molding machine: This molding machine uses extrusion force to extrude the raw material into the mold or orifice to form the desired shape. Extrusion molding machines can be divided into cold extrusion and hot extrusion. Cold extrusion is performed at room temperature and is suitable for materials with low viscosity or not easy to flow, such as metal powder or clay. Hot extrusion is carried out after heating and is suitable for materials with high viscosity or easy flow, such as plastic pellets or chocolate.

4. Injection Molding Machine: This type of molding machine uses injection force to inject raw materials into the mold to form the desired shape. Injection molding machines usually use thermoplastics as raw materials, heat and compress them into a liquid state, then inject them into the mold quickly through a nozzle, and solidify after cooling.

A molding machine is a mechanical device capable of processing raw materials into different shapes and sizes. It can be used to process various materials to produce various products. There are many types of molding machines, which can be classified into pressure molding machines, stretch molding machines, extrusion molding machines, and injection molding machines according to the processing method and the nature of the raw materials. The forming machine uses external force or heat to apply pressure or tension to the raw material to deform or flow it to achieve the desired shape and size.
